I've always been a little ambivalent about Celtic music, hating most of that di-diddley- di / penny whistle n fiddle jig stuff (to the extent of lampooning it rather mercilessly on the Philharmonic's first release, "Raw Blarney", which is one of our very worst, I'm afraid... certainly worst sounding, as we don't call it Horrend-O-Phonic for nothing! -certainly not without hilarious stretches, tho); but I do love some of the pretty stuff, and there's few songs prettier than "Barbara Allen", the only Irish song we've taken seriously to date, and one we truly love to play.

So begorrah 'n' happy St. Patty's Day, folks!
