I can still remember the smell Of my uncles old car I felt so safe in there when he would drive near or far My uncles old car has a spacious roomy trunk He can fit his bag of crazy costumes and music making stuff He’s got so many cds and empty Wendy’s cups I feel so safe in there and I just can’t get enough I wish I was riding in my uncles old car

What I want – what I want: I want to go out in public and not look like a robber. I want to know whether you're smiling or not. I want to hug everyone I see. I want to go to a crowded, smoky bar where the band is too loud. I want the band to be mine. I want to watch a game. I want not to come from this country. I want not to come from any country. I want to hold you tight. I want to not be a racist. I want our president to disappear forever. I want to make music so good and so surprising, your heart will explode. I want to write a book. I want it to be about anything but this. I want to cry. I want to come over to your house, you lucky thing. I want to go to heaven. I want to see my folks again. I want a dog. I want to tell you I know how you feel. I want to know how you feel. I want to help. I want to be cool. I want you to know how much I care. I want not to care. I wanna turn the page. I want to stay in bed all day. I want to get out of here. I want someone else to make this world a better place, while I applaud. I want this to be over, and to undo the wrongs I've done. I want to say I'm sorry. I want my cat to stop bothering me when I'm writing my anthem. I want my loved ones safe, and my enemies... well, like I said, just make that one asshole disappear, and we'll call it a day. I want to hear something that changes everything. I want to be quiet. I want to know if there's any rhyme or reason to any of this. I want this to be in the past. I want us to last forever. I want to forget. I want the people who've worked so hard to keep us safe to be safe, I want to say thank you, and not to be so damn needy. I want Allen Toussaint back, and for him to bring whoever he wants. I want to sing together again. And this lamp, and these matches... And I want a bag of crawfish, and a beer. I want a bag of crawfish, and a beer.

about

An ongoing compilation of mostly Chandler Travis-related material that will be updated weekly, mostly, and expand accordingly as the year goes by. At the end of the year, perhaps the track list will stop changing and we'll start actually charging money for it!.
Many of the songs included here previously appeared on "Song of the Weak 2018", despite the fact that we didn't officially post anything in 2018, and these songs weren't released until 2020, which is pretty hard to explain, so I won't try. You may find that songs come and go somewhat randomly from the "Song of the Weak" collections, especially the more recent entries; I'd put this down to bad planning on our part, and point out that for the rate we're currently charging, which is nothing, we feel completely entitled to do whatever we want, and hope that you'll consider it all part of life's rich bouquet. Maybe at some point we'll start actually selling these things, and settle down some.
Our goal for 2020 is/was to put out more than ever in hopes of keeping both you and ourselves distracted during the year of the pandy- hope it works, and that there's only one year like this (please wear yer damn face masks!)
