just a little romp through an old favorite here, the Cookies "Softly in the Night", a clear CTP favorite over the years; this was a great night, one where Matt Joseph and Quinn Carson (on trumpet and trombone respectively) were really layin' it down...
And the Cookies rule! In case you're unfamiliar, you should fix that -only about an album's worth out there, but it's fabulous, a lotta classic Goffin and King songs, and members of the Raelettes (at times including Marge Hendricks) ; particularly recommend "I Never Dreamed", which we covered briefly once and hope to again someday... buy buy buy!
